Missouri Enterprise works closely with the University of Missouri Technology Park at Fort Leonard Wood to locate businesses that can supply research, goods and services that are relevant to the missions of this large and unique military installation. Missouri Enterprise works to develop additional business opportunities generated by Fort Leonard Wood's various directorates and centers, and helps clients win associated contracts.
The Sustainable Ozarks Partnership is building on the Fort Leonard Wood region's strong past and preparing the region for a sustainable future. They are a nonprofit organization working to bring all of the region's stakeholders to the table to drive regional development and advocate for new or expanded military and federal missions.
Lincoln University was founded in 1866 by the men of the 62nd and 65th United States Colored Infantries and their white officers, for the special benefit of freed African Americans. Today, Lincoln University's role in the education of Missourians and others and its service to stakeholders throughout the state, the nation, and across the globe is well recognized.
MS&T is located 30 miles east of Fort Leonard Wood and is considered "Missouri's Technological University". It has 5500 students and a very broad array of academic disciplines many which dovetail well with the military missions at Fort Leonard Wood.
